Mushinkan UK

Sensei Caio G Rocha would like to invite you to join our new Karate-do classes in Brighton UK (for more info call 07872643436). Mushinkan UK is now affiliated with JKS.

Karate means: “art of the empty hands” and Do means the path. Karate-do is one of the oldest Martial Arts in the world. Is complete and efficient in it self; is not only “fight techniques of self defense” but a philosophy of live.

Trough Karate-do you learn to own your power, to centre your self, to increase your awareness and finally, to find out who you are! You can considerate Karate-do as a meditation in motion and a powerful martial art! Together with this you release the stress of your daily life, you get fit, you make friends, you learn to defend your self (when necessary) and you increase your perspective of alife! This karate school is the same school of Lyoto Machida (Lyoto Machida is a black belt form JKA and a successful UFC fighter, check-it-out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iog_d1E540g).

(JKA or NKK means Japan Karate Association or Nihon Karate Kyokai - In the late 1940s, towards the end of his life, Funakoshi (creator of karate) and his senior students formed a special institute, dedicated to research, promotion, events management, and education. This was the Japan Karate Association. Under Chief Instructor Masatoshi Nakayama (Master of Taketo Okuda), a generation of respected instructors spread karate worldwide, guided from the JKA headquarters in Tokyo.

Following Nakayama's death in 1987, the JKA began to splinter, both at the Tokyo headquarters and worldwide. However, it is still the largest and among the most influential of modern karate organizations)
